Proof of Funds with Canadian Bank Account

Hello all,

i have a query regarding providing proof of funds.
I have a canadian bank account where i have saved some amount. however i am not in canada and can not obtain statements as they will only send statement to canadian address.

they have sent an email that i can print out account activity from my online account, which will not be on letterhead and without any stamp.

I have an alternative option to transfer this money to my local account and get the stamped statement which i can show with transfer receipt.

What do you suggest should be my course of action here to make sure proof of funds is accepted.

you dont need to submit the statements. CIC is asking you to only submit a letter which can be emailed to you if you talk to your bank. is it TD ?

• The applicant should provide an official letter(s) from one or more financial institutions that lists all current bank and investment accounts as well as outstanding debts, such as credit card debts and loans.
  • o The letter(s) must be printed on the letterhead of the financial institution and must include the applicant’s name, the contact information of the financial institution (address, telephone number and email address), the account numbers, the date each account was opened and the current balance of each account as well as the average balance for the past six months.
• Other documents may also be requested, as necessary.

Yes its TD Bank.

They said they can not send anything by email as it is not considered secure channel. and if i need any letter which is not standard, i need to visit branch.
They can provide a letter with current balance, however that also can only be sent via paper mail to an address within Canada.

Or you can tell someone to collect it for you and authorize them with your letter? do you think you can do this?

Note: You do not have to meet the funds requirement if you were invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class.

The system currently asks all applicants to provide a proof of funds document. If you don’t need to provide proof of funds, you must upload a letter explaining either that you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, or that you have a valid job offer.

Another related question, just in case someone else has done it.
Should i provide proof of funds under the proofs section and upload a letter of explanation in LOE section,
Or should i completely ignore the proofs and upload a letter saying i have been invited under Canadian experience class, along with Invitation letter.

The LOE will cover the part if we don't meet the minimum fund requirement. I think its good to provide a proof of fund with whatever the $ amount is.

Makes sense.
I will create a single pdf with first page as a letter explaining that I am invited under Canadian experience class and following pages including scanned copies of proof of funds.
