Proof of Funds with another person

Hello! I'm gathering all my documents.
The proof of funds I'm thinking of presenting is a fixed deposit certificate which is under "My name AND My dad's name". My dad won't be coming with me and he won't be part of the application. Is this an accepted PoF? Or does it have to be under my name only?

I am not expert in POF but if the money you declare are not entirely yours and partly belong to person who is not complying you to Canada, how CIC can be sure that you would be able to bring that money to Canada to support yourself?
