Hi all,
I used the exchange rate posted on my Local Visa office website to convert my bank balance into Canadian Dollars and it was above the minimum limit. Now that I have received the bank statement, the exchange rate in market has changed and my balance is a few hundred Dollars below the limit. The exchange rate on their website is still the same though. Do you think this would be OK? I mean does the embassy use currnet exchange rate in the market or they use the exchange rate they themselves use to calculate all fees and post it on their website? Thanks for your inputs.

Normally, when you fill the e- PERSONAL WORTH FORM you will have to input the: Exchange Rate Used : Cdn $1 = __________

AMD, can you put the link to the exchange rate calculator on the CIC website here, Please!

Well, my Visa Office does not have a PERSONAL WORTH FORM to fill. They just need a bank statement with records of entries. I guess I will submit this statement I have and indicate that I have used THEIR exchange rate posted on their website. Hope it works!

HI

I used the rate available on www.xe.com on the date of my sending application. I even attached that copy alongwith my calculation

anyway,,, difference in embassy rate and that on website was hardly, and my balance well above limit..

I have not sent bank statement rather sent balance certificate statement from bank and FD statement indicating my balance

lets see

I did the same... Enterted the currency in your bank and get an equivalent from http://www.xe.com and take a print and attach...
