guys i have same question instead of showing bank statement can i show letter from bank manager on bank letter head will they consider ?

reply please..............
While you submit your application or if the VO ask for updated POF you may submit a computer printed bank statement or original letter from the bank manager as you said.

Whereas, during your landing in Canada with your PR visa, you should show your POF either by Cash, DD or TC for the total amount or proportionately divided. A bank statement will not be accepted. If you have already opened a bank account in Canada from your country and transferred funds from your country before landing, perhaps (??) the very recent statement will be considered. Not sure!!.

Happy New Year!!
Hi Wilson, can I ask a favor? Do you have a sample on how to fill-up the E677 form ( Cross- Border currency )? So, it would be easier for us to declare the money...
Thank you so much..

one small query....
At the time (Nov'11) of submission of my application...I did provide a copy of the bank statement where it shows that I have sufficient funds available for me to go and settle in Canada. Now that I am still waiting for the AOR (due in Feb'12 hopefully) from CIC...is it mandatory for me to keep the money at my account till the end or I can use / withdraw as required...???

its mandatory to keep the required amount. you can spend the extra.
coz anytime it could be checked.
beside many applicants get the request of resending the PoF with MR/PPR
