Is there anybody (Skilled workers and professionals) refused to enter in Canada at the port of entry (airport) due to show fewer funds than required by the CIC?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks!

The applicant is coming from a country that has currency restrictions. Therefore, the applicant wouldn't be able to carry the required funds.

Response from Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) -

Visitors do need to satisfy the officer at the port of entry that they will leave Canada at the end of their authorized stay and that they have sufficient funds to support themselves during their visit to Canada.

For more information on visiting Canada, please visit Citizenship and Immigration Canada's (CIC) Web site at:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/apply-who.asp

For all other questions related to this matter, we recommend that you contact CIC at 1-888-242-2100. To speak directly to a representative, press 1 for English or 2 for French and 0 four times.

If you are located outside of Canada, please contact your nearest Canada visa office. A list of offices can be found at:

You can also access additional contact information at the following Web site:

Thank you for contacting the Canada Border Services Agency.

I intend to apply for federal skilled workers program coming next January 2013, and I am a bit confused about how to pay the fees of 550 CAD and the other fees for credentials assessment, since I am residing in Syria and no international credit cards is allowed in this country because of international sanctions, How will I pay fees? Will it work to make a money exchange by Western Union to be recieved by the RECIVER GENERAL OF CANADA and other sides that may take part in the immigration process?

You need to contact your bank for that - You don't have to pay with credit card - Bank draft would suffice

They don't normally send you back because of lack of funds but make sure you have atleast more than 50% of what you are reqd.

The applicant would bring around 70% of required funds as the applicant is coming from a country that has currency restrictions. Therefore, the applicant wouldn't be able to bring full required funds. He is kind of worried if the immigration officer would refuse to enter them in Canada at the port of entry.
