Proof of Funds - Selling Equities

Hi,

I am in process of submitting my documents. I have received ITA in the 16th draw.

My source of funds are as below:

1. CAD 5k in EPF (This is more than 6 month old balance)
2. 8K in my savings account (transferred from my wife post i received the ITA). My wife is part of my ITA. I am the prime applicant. I will arrange for a letter mentioning it was our saving and she is giving it to me as a gift
3. 2K as gift from Dad ( i have got the cheque and will submit it on Monday). I will also arrange a notarized letter of it being a gift
4. I am in process of selling some of my shares and mutual funds (will take 1 week). This will be around 8k. The account that holds shares and mutual fund belongs to me.

My problem is the money is flowing into my account in last 1 month after ITA was received. I am worried if this can cause rejection. I am planning to submit my application by 1st Nov (last date for me is 7th Nov).

Pls help me friends.

The money need not be with you for 6 months and more. But you'll have to provide all possible evidence to prove that the money belongs exclusively to you and it isn't borrowed from anyone.

I can sell more equities and mutual funds and avoid the gift from my father. Considering that equities and mutual fund statement will have my and only my name as unit holders, will that make my case stronger?

Yes. Anything which can be supported by documentation evidence to prove that the assets belonged to you, were sold by you and that you utilized those very sale proceeds to showcase POF would work.
