I went to VFS today - we can put in the request to withdraw application and we will get our passport back in 2-3 days. Fees will not be returned.

If this is true, I am stuck without my passport till they take their sweet time to process my PRTD. I am a new PR (landed in Jun 2016) and if they are taking over month without any option to take the passport back then i am as good as screwed! :(

14 days gone and no updates on my application - but considering a holiday, 3 days of protest in between, my application will take time another 10 days :/

1. Anything above the reqd amount is good. No tension over here. Higher the better i guess 2. H1B is for US. This is Canada. If you did not go for the interview itself, not sure why you want it to be mentioned anywhere? 3. No idea about this.

I would wait for the ITA before going for the medicals. The ITA number is the reference number and when your file is processed they pull the medical records using that number. Hold on medicals. Police verifications yes, pls go ahead. Will make life easier post the ITA
