Hello,

I am about to complete and submit my application for FSW, have a question about POF...appreciate any suggestion/advise:

For proof of fund: I have around $20,000 CAD gifted by my parents. I am attaching the bank statement, 6 months of bank statements and letter from my parents. The transaction was made recently.

Also, I have just started working in Toronto and can provide my letter of employment.

Will I need to include anything (other than letter of explanation) as Proof of Fund?

I also have a recommendation letter from my previous landlord (stayed there for 1 year). Will including it help in any ways?

Thank You

Will I need to include anything (other than letter of explanation) as Proof of Fund? Get a gift deed from your parents to cover the funds they gave you. You can find samples for this online or get one from a lawyer.

I also have a recommendation letter from my previous landlord (stayed there for 1 year). Will including it help in any ways? Not necessary

Thank You

Thanks for your reply. If I get the gift letter signed by my parents notarized, will it suffice for the purpose?

I was under the impression that proof of funds may not be required, as I have just started working in Toronto (can attach the employment letter).
