I don't know why Wells Fargo didn't give you such letter. I walked into my Wells Fargo branch here in Pennsylvania and they were more than happy to provide such letter and they had the format already.
Even if you are trying to submit your statements, you will have to get it verified with bank because online statements are not sufficient for POF.
I would suggest you to walk into your branch and talk to your banker, they will definitely be able to help you to get that letter.

Just to reaffirm, Wells Fargo provided you with a letter for proof of funds mentioning running balance for 6 months, no debts etc ??

They are clearly telling me they provide no such letter ?? !

Thanks for the reply. One question which I hope you or anyone else in here can clarify.

If I remove my mothers name from the account now, will that suffice ? Her name might still show up on earlier months statement but at least during time of submission I would be sole account holder in charge of account.

What do you guys think ?

You can't "remove" a person from an account. You'll have to close it and get a new one. It won't hurt you do so anyways and since they haven't asked for anything yet, you may have been lucky.
