We are preparing to move to Canada soon. We have a question regarding the proof of funds and we appreciate any help in this regard.
We are moving from Spain and we have been trying to get the necessary amount in Canadian Dollar, but the banks here is Spain are applying high exchange rates and commission on exchanges operations and given the necessary amount we need to take with us as family, the difference in the amount and the commission will exceed $1000, which is very high.
So the question is, can we take with us the necessary amount in Euro and later on to do the exchange in Canada as we checked on the internet that the rates in Canada are better, or we are obliged to take the funds in Canadian Dollars.
