So my friend is going to be doing a short landing before moving her permanently at a later time.
He wants to use a bank statement from his home country if asked to show proof of funds. Now some people say not to do that and some people say it’s fine. But I didn’t read any stories of anyone actually being rejected or turned away at the airport for using a bank statement. Thus why I’m asking myself for any concrete proof that you aren’t allowed to use a foreign bank statement when landing. Personally I know 7 people who moved here and I was the only who had their proof of funds counted upon landing. All my friends the immigration officer asked how much they were carrying but never asked to see it.
If you know of any scenarios where people were turned away please let me know.
