Hey guys,

I am building my PR application these days and ran into a massive trouble recently. For proof of funds I transferred the desired amount in a bank account and then from there invested it into government investment bonds. The investment has aged 6 months.

The problem is that the amount can not be shown in my bank statement cuz it is invested in a bank portfolio (although portfolio management letter from bank is available with the said amount). The bonds will mature next year but they can be sold in open market through the bank. I guess that makes them not-readily available

Please guide if a bank statement, account maintenance certificate and portfolio management certificate will be good enough for IRCC or do i need liquidated bonds in my account ?

If i liquidate the bonds into my account, do i need to wait another 6 months or can show that the funds were invested in bonds but i cashed them for PR purpose to show availability.

A quick response will be appropriated as i am running out of time.

Thanks

Yes you can show that funds were invested in bonds for 6 months and were cashed out. Show them the transaction. Since it's all in your name you should be fine.
