Hi all,

I know a lot of people have already asked this question, but I'm yet to read a reply !!
So, I'm already living in Canada, Calgary to be precise !!
I already have a full time permanent job with a job offer letter ! But no LMIA.
Will I still have to provide proof of funds even though I'm already working ?
Thank you

No If you are in Canada working you attach T4 if you have one.

i am currently working in canada but my PGWP expires on 05 april 2015. I qualify for CEC. So if i receive ITA after 05 april, Would I need to provide the proof of funds since I wont be working and also not be authorized to work? I have T4s / paystubs etc . i would be screwed if They ask me to show approx 12000 dollars in the bank for last months - this wasnt a requirement for CEC and I am one of those unlucly ones who got their application returned due to the cap.
I would still be here though in implied status waiting for study permit based on my post grad admission.
This is a very confusing situation .. :'(

If you are applying under CEC (Canadian Experience Class), you don't need to show money.
There is no requirement for proof of funds here:
www . cic . gc .c a/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp
(remove spaces)

I created my Express Entry profile for Canadian Experience class and I declared way less than the required amount, and it said conditions for CEC were met and I am in the pool now.

Hope that helps.

So, you still have to declare how much you have, but it doesn't have to meet the threshold of say 11900 for one person.
I declared much less than 11000 and I am in the pool.

Take my word with a grain of salt as I was alone, however, If you are applying under "CEC", there is no criteria for POF.
I have scavenged these forums yesterday and everybody said the same thing, even people claimed their lawyers said you don't have to meet "Licos" policy for CEC.

So i created my profile and put less than $5000, and I am in the pool.
There is somebody in the forums who qualified for CEC, but got an ITA as FSW and he put "0" as funds, lemme give you the thread link.

Here's what the rules state:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/fsw/selection.asp

Pursuant to R76(1)(b)(ii), applicants are not required to have settlement funds if the applicant is authorized to work in Canada and has been awarded points for arranged employment in Canada, as defined in R82(1), under R82(2)(a), (b) or (d).
A work permit covers the first part (authorized to work). That leaves the FSW points:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/fsw/employment/may4.asp

R82(a): You have a LMIA in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A, Skill Level B.
R82(b): You have a work permit that is under a LMIA exempt category (NAFTA, etc.)
R82(d): You have an open work permit, etc., you have an offer of employment (if you get permanent residence), and the employment is covered under a LMIA.

Basically, if you aren't NAFTA, you're going to need a LMIA to avoid proof of funds.

But this is all "FSW", we are not going for that Stream, I understand that FSW has a requirement for proof funds unless you have LMIA or PNP.
We are talking about CEC, that is a different stream with different criteria, I posted a link above for CEC requirements and POF was not mentioned anywhere. However, If you check FSW requirement it is mentioned in the eligibility page.

I'm sorry about that.

I checked the manual for CEC:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/cec/index.asp?v=post

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/cec/criteria.asp

I don't see anything about Proof of Funds or Settlement Funds. It does not appear to be part of the Minimum Entry Criteria for Express Entry either.
