Hi All,

I am currently not in India and can not get the letter in the specified format.
Can I give ICICI Bank Account Statements of six months received in email ?
Do I need to get them notarized in US if needed.

Thanks in Advance... !!!

Email statements/statements printed from online systems aren't acceptable. You'll have to get them signed/stamped by bank authorities before submission.

What are your thoughts on:

A 'good standing' letter on letter head and signed
A summary of accounts with opening dates and current balances on letter head with stamp
Six months of statements printed from online banking

Have you received your ITA?
If Yes, then you have to make sure that the statements are signed and stamped.

Everything is good except statements printed from online banking.

Another trip to the bank it is then! I was going to save the $10 in printing fees but I guess in the scheme of things its pocket change!

Asivad Anac please confirm

only A 'good standing' letter on letter head and signed
Standing letter ?? - is it a letter through which CIC will be able to check our current account balance ?

what my understanding was CIC or any one will not have access to our bank account and they will not be able to call the bank and get the information related to current balance in the account , as banks will not share customers info with anyone

A summary of accounts with opening dates and current balances on letter head with stamp
I guess this can be managed

CIC doesn't ask for this, no harm in providing this letter.

No.

This understanding is correct.

Guys I have a question.

I got a 12KCAD cheque from my family and I have 3KCAD personal savings in the bank which is intact for over a year.

I'm wondering if I should just deposit the whole 12KCAD to a new bank account then add money to my old personal account every month from that new account.

Or what do you suggest I do? I didn't hire an agent, I'm single applicant. Thanks

I guess better show one account with CIC requirements , if your family is coming to Canada with you

Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $11,931
2 $14,853
3 $18,260
4 $22,170
5 $25,145
6 $28,359
7 or more $31,574

so better deposit in 1 account and better access ,

I have one query on this. For how long the bank signed letter is valid as a proof of funds.
Let's say I get the letter on June 1 and I actually submit the documents for the ITA in August.
Will that letter still hold true?
I mean what if I have taken out money from my account in those 2 months.
Is there any timeline check from the signing of the letter of funds proof to the time it has to be submitted in the ITA documentation section?
