When applying for my family i need a POF of CAD 17000. Now how can it be menas , should it be fixed deposit ? If fixed deposit , how long should it be before applying ? or need to show CAD 17000 as liquid money in saving account ? because my bank statement is of no good as there is not much of transactions. plz advise
this money can be either your fixed deposite or liguid money..as long you got money in your current/saving bank account, its okay. the money need to be in your bank account the day you apply only... but its always safe to keep the money again after they transfer your file to visa office. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

no transaction is required. you just need the bank certificate stating that you got the amount equavalent to CAD 1700 or whatever. dont even need to send the bank statement.you can keep and draw the money just after getting the certificate from your bank. its not a big deal. but be prepared to provide the same thing if visa office ask for bank certificate again before issung your visa later on. good luck ;D ;D ;D
