PROOF OF FUNDS - HOW MUCH IS REQUIRED

Hi there,

I'm about to send my application to CIC and would like to ask about the funds required:
In my application, I intend to include all of the transferable funds that I have (which is higher than the required Funds listed on the CIC website). Later, if I can successfully get a visa, when I first land in Canada, do I need to bring the amount that I have declared OR only what is required (CAD13,486 for 2 persons)?

You can bring as much as money alongwith you in Canada but not less than required e.g. CAD 13,486 for 2 persons.

How much would be required if one person wanted to visit for a month, with accommodation, food, and transport paid for by a host?

If you carrying more than 10,000CDN$ then please inform Canadian Immigration authorities because if you don't and they found the money with you, you can see a fine or they may also put you in prison.

Hi All, From my CAIPS notes, i came to know CIC awarded me 77 points with acknowledgement of Proof of Funds. But have mentioned FUNDS as : $ 00000000, though I have provided Bank Statements, PF Statement from Employer.

Please advise what should I do.

I was also wondering what the proof of funds has to be made of and when that has to be submitte/ is it with the initial application to Sydney?
