Proof of funds. Help!!

Hi good people in this forum

I applied for express entry under FSW class and my question about proof of funds is this:

1. My parents are willing to give me some money to augment the amount required to move to Canada. What is the best way to document this so that the immigration officers do not frown at it. As at now, the money is not in my account and I have to submit my profile in December.

2. I have not lived in my home country for over two years now. Is it better for my parents to send the money to my account in my home country or to send it to my account where I currently live? Why? Either way the account will be in my name and the bank can write a letter.

I will appreciate any knowledgeable person or anyone who has gone through a similar issue and succeeded to please give me advice.

From what i have read on the forum, we should submit a letter of gift deed that states that the money has been given as a gift and. But money transfer should be a wire transfer. You can look for samples of gift deed. What is your CRS score?

Take a gift deed from your parents! Btw out of curiosity how you survive in foreign country without money (Just Kidding)....Also get this thing notarized!

I still did not get any approval or denial of the POF evidence i have submitted with my application but this is what i did - i have sent the copy of notarised gift agreement (concluded with my parents) as well as bank statements (as much as i had at the time of filing the application). I am not sure if it will work out 100% but at least I did everything i could in order to provide the maximum evidence possible.

It doesn't matter as long as it's in your name.

I'm British but last year was living in NZ and my funds were moved to a NZ account. Now I'm back in the UK so moved 90% here, but still have some in Canada and NZ accounts.

Hey.. I see you got a nomination from Ontario, that means the documents you submitted worked.

We have the required funds here in our bank account in the UK but UK bank accounts are not willing to give letters according to CIC format. Therefore, we are showing Indian bank statements where the banks are more flexible with the letter format.

Thanks for this post. I happen to be in a similar spot.

My query is, say the funds have been wired to my account in several instalments, would I need a gift deed for each of those transaction or will one consolidated deed will suffice?
