Proof of funds (help)

Guys, im applying for my student permit in a week from now. My (real) uncle is helping me to pay for my studies in Canada. I was wondering if my uncle has to write a letter along with his bank statements attached saying that he will help me financially for the whole length of my stay in Canada.
Any of you know what or how would this letter be written?

Yes, he should write an affidavit in which he will explain why is he gonna be supporting you and by how much. You can find affidavit samples on google.
