Proof of Funds - Help & Advice

I made two Fixed Deposits on 06 Dec 2017 for showing my Proof of Settlement funds. However, on the same day I received my ITA. Can I show the FD statements as POF? Will they be valid? I am a bit worried as they are not 6 months old. I am planning to submit my completed application and documents by 20 Feb 2018. Please advice!

You should be able to show the FD statements and that should be fine. However as its not 6 months and if you can explain the source with proofs, then nothing to worry.
eg: If its your salary, you could attach explanation letter with 3 more months bank statement..or if its a gift deed, you could get it notarized...

Letter from bank would be ideal

I know its silly but that is the current format of my bank!

yes, the document should show how much amount is available. Else how can they determine the availability..

Not necessary. The CIC will work it out using their own exchange rate, but make sure you have adequate buffer (a little more than the minimum amount)

I am submitting the same 3 month old FD statement and an saving account bank statement. my FD tenure is for 1 year with instructions to renew at maturity. I think this would be fine as the FD is for 1 year with FD renewal instructions.

What is your FD tenure?
