Proof of funds for spouse?

Hi everyone,

So my turn to ask a question lol.

My cousin and her husband are gearing up to apply for immigration. I told them that one of the criteria is that they have to provide proof of funds, which includes a bank letter stating their bank balance and any loans they have at the moment.

Does the dependent spouse (in this case her husband) have to provide the same documents for proof of funds, including disclosure of any loans? Or is this only a requirement for the main applicant, which would be my cousin.

I was a bit stumped on this question, so i thought i'd ask on the forum.

I may be wrong but I think only the primary needs to show financial proof.
