Proof of Funds for Spouse with Open Work Permit for Online TRV application

Hi All,

I have applied for new TRV online for my wife who is in Canada with Open work permit. However the document generation wizard of cic didn't include anything for providing proof of funds and thus We haven't given any proof of funds. My question is if the application will be rejected or cic will come back asking for proof ?

If cic come back asking for proof, Can we provide my fund details for her ?

Hey I just noticed to be in the same position and couldnt find THAT answer anywhere.
Did you had success or did they came around asking for financial proof?

Financial proof is required so CIC knows:

- you can afford to visit in Canada
- you won't be looking to immigrate illegally
- you have enough funds to go back to your country after your visit

If you are already working asking for financial proof would be pointless.

That's the cool part of processing a TRV on a WP, it is basically just sending the forms and a scan of your passport.

Easy.

She is on work permit, hence no proof is required because she can work, if you were visiting or a student it would be different.
