Dear all:
My questions are:
1) Will a bank certificate similar to the one we sent in our application be enough proof of funds at the port of entry? Particularly if at this moment we just want to validate our visas but not settle down in CAN yet?
no
2) Will pose any problem that part of the money we have belongs to me iNStead of my wife who is the first applicant?
no
Thanks in advance for your helpful advise

Dear all,
I'm preparing FSW application. Before few months, that was not an idea and I use to park all my saving into Equity market and was hating FD as my saving. Somewhere, I learnt that, Equity investement is not valid as POF for application.

My query is: Can I show Provident Funds statement as POF. Can I also use my wife's PF statement to make up the requirement of funds (some C$ 13,000) for 3 of us.

Thanks & Regards,
CanEra

if she is accompanying u in Canada, then u can show her PF Statement along with yours. I think, for 3 person u need to show about 17,011 CAD. check again please. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

Skilled workers and professionals: Who can apply—Proof of funds
The Government of Canada does not provide financial support to new skilled worker immigrants.

You must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependants after you arrive in Canada. You cannot borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to support the costs of living for your family.

You will need to provide proof of your funds to the Canadian visa office in your home country when you submit your application for immigration.

These funds could be in the form of:

cash
securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills) or
negotiable instruments in bearer form (for example, bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders).

any certificate of any kind will not do any good at the port of entry, u will have to bring the money in the above mentioned form. u can show your PF or Flat's paper while applying but it won't do any good at the time of entering in Canada. if they ask for Personal Net Worth Statement at the later part then u can show these, otherwise these won't do any good.

For how much time we will have to keep funds in our account?

it is better to keep the money in the account till u get the VISA.

Is there any need to submit POF or bank balance,if I apply with arrange employment?
Seniors pls suggest me.

Thanks Mute_man

I presented Bank statement while applying for FSW.

But now, as I have invested in flat I can't show bank statement as POF.

At this stage if my medical comes with a request to show the POF, can I show flat doc or PF statement as POF?

While finally leaving India for Canada I will have the required money in my Bank a/c (either by selling property or by withdrawing PF whichever I choose ).

Regards
Manu

if they asked for POF then u will have to show the liquid money, flat paper will not do any good, sorry.:(
but if they asked for PNWS, then flat's paper/ money can be showed as net worth.

hope it helps.

1. As far as I know the only office that accepts property for the initial application is London.

Yes By showing your asset evaluation by a consulting farm and they give you a report which you could shown in vo as a proof of fund but you should also show liquid money as well for your best position to apply cause cvo want you brought enough money to there so better way is to show more liquid money .

thanks
