Proof of Funds for EE Application

Hello All.

I have a doubt regarding POF section of EE application.

For the family of 3 members, it is required to have $18260. I have about 65% of funds myself.

Remaining 35% is funded by my father. According to cic, I should not borrow this funds.

But factually, the borrowed 35% of funds need not be repaid to my father, due to inheritance and nonobligatory terms.

So kindly enlighten my stand.

You have to conclusively prove to CIC that these funds are not borrowed. Upload whatever evidence you can to prove this.

Can you mention what evidence Cic would approve? Any declaration by parents, etc?

Hello everyone,

I applied with fsw inside canada.
Coincidentally i just had $15096 in my bank accounts.
Also i submitted my pay stubs and other financial documents.

I believe i was required to have 14900 in my account as i applied with my wife as dependent applicant.

The problem is that my account figures were bumped up by $1800 as i always keep some cash at home and later on i decided to deposit them as i need to maintain 15 k figure.

The second problem is that i have 2 bank accounts. One had 12k and other has 3k.
I was able to show the statement for 12k bank account but just the balance statement and detailed summary for 3 k account.

After learning about the amount of people being rejected for pof or for other petty reasons, these thing freaks me out.
Please advise if the documents i submitted are viable enough.

Explain $1800 is your own money as it was the cash which was at home in your little treasure . I guess they should understand.

To play safe you need to show current balance for both of your accounts (in shape of bank letters) plus past 6 months statements and attaching your last year NOA and a few recent pay stubs wont hurt.

Don't freak out, you have the required funds just do some paper work to prove that it is your own cash and not borrowed.

If you claim this is inheritance, there should be some legal documents to prove that. Those would suffice. Else a signed self-declaration from your father explicitly stating that this is a gift not a loan hence need not be returned to them should suffice.
