No, my bank could not. Dont ask why, but I tried everything with them. They can only provide me current balance, and I can only print out my entire account record 6 months back. And really unsure how that would work in regards to translation. It seems really silly. Im pretty sure cic is not interested in every single time I bought a coffee. Not to mention the record would be so huge it would probably cost a fortune to translate

Then get those bank statements and have them stamped and proceed with translation.

Start looking for quotes.

Since I'm in CEC, I mentioned funds as "0". Is it required to furnish proof of fund details ?

Out if curiosity, has any bank issued a letter exactly cic requirements?? Not seen a single case.

Mine will, but then again I know the manager of my branch :P

Hi All,

I received an ITA this month to apply under CEC.

I was under the impression I did not need to provide Proof of Means of Financial Support, based on the info on the CIC website.

However, my Supporting Documents checklist in my mycic account shows Proof of Means of Financial Support (required) - Not Provided.

Any ideas why this is?

Cheers

Upload a letter stating that you're applying under the CEC program and no POF are required.

Have them stamped by the bank you mean? And how should I translate the currency? Do translators even translate currency?

I'm just going to print out a page from xe.com on the day I submit and upload it. It doesn't mention about converting it but it might help. Least the VO might get the impression you tried to make their job easier :)

1 - Yes, stamped by the bank
2 - Obviously the translators don't convert currency, the translation will be in your local currency.

Hi All

Can I show pof as a gift from father... but my statement is not 6 months old. As I have just come back from uk ... I was there on student visa... my account is active for last 3 months that too the amount gifted from my father as I am not working for last two years was just a student. But I do have saving certificates under my name for more than 3 years. Can I convert them to liquid cash and then show them on my bank statement. Is this possible?

Just a (probably) stupid question, so if I get an ITA and need to apply for PR, but I'm actively working for a Canadian employer, I don't need to send them proof of funds right? I definitely could, but if I don't have to I won't, lol.

Only if you are invited under CEC.
