No,take enough cash to get you going for a week or so and take a recent bank statement showing funds.vishaldeep.garg said:I do have enough funds in my bank account. But do I need to carry all the declared funds (in ITA) to Canada (in Cash etc.) and show it as proof to the officer at the time landing? Or Is it OK to just carry $1000 to $2000 in cash and show the account statements as proof that I have enough.
My aim is to first get one Canadian account (which may take few days or weeks after landing) and then I want to transfer all the money from my home country's account to Canadian bank account. I did read that there are multiple ways to bring upto $10k (in form of cash, bonds etc.) but I don't want to go into all that right now. Please guide me.

Let us not encourage misrepresentation. If they do not have the funds to immigrate how will they afford a rental deposit or food when they land? That's the purpose of these funds.Lifehack said:Hi
If you can show the money was gifted to you, then it might work.

Does that mean I am supposed to show this much funds in my bank account after deducting my credit card bills?
I guess that's why my profile is showing that I meet both FSW and CEC criteria because I satisfy the funds' requirement.
