Hi,

I don't have a 6 month history for the required proof of funds. My father deposited the required amount in early Dec. I have qualified for ITA today so eventually when I submit the e-APR, it wont have a 6 month history established. How do I work around this? Would a gift deed be sufficient or do I need to show more documents? Please advise.
Can anyone please help me regarding this? Thanks

6 month history is required so as to find out if the applicant has taken any loan.
Get a gift deed, your father's bank statements, bank's reference letter as per cic format for your bank account, if you can't get the letter as per the format, upload your 6 months account statements.
all these account statements should be stamped and signed by bank.

Thanks V. Can you share the link for bank letter format specified by CIC? I am afraid I wasn't able to locate info online. Thanks.

Hello all, quick question. My bank gave my the reference letter showing 6 months avg balance, and current balance, etc... everything except balance from my credit card debt. They left that off the statement, even though I asked for it to be included and I don't want to appear to be hiding any information. Any idea how to handle this?

Thx

Hi everyone,

This might sound like the good kind of trouble but I'm unsure how to handle this and would appreciate your advice. I have over 100K in savings and no debt. However, when I initially signed up for Express Entry, was under the impression that I should only state the amount of money I would bring in in cash upon my first landing, so I stated $12,500 CAD - a little over the minimum, to be on the safe side. Now that I've gotten an ITA and have to upload a bank statement, I am realizing this may appear as a huge discrepancy. Would you at this point suggest to correct the amount to all of the savings I have and do intend to convert and transfer into Canada over time, or stay with the $12,500 I initially declared?

Irrelevant, as long as you meet the funds required they don't care if you have 100 million dollars in your bank account.

Thanks! I gather it would be best to leave the statement at $12,500 then...

If you're invited under the CEC program or if you have a valid job offer you're not required to provide POF.

Please I need help! I got ITA under FSW. However, I live and work in Canada with valid work permit, but on contract basis and I do not have the $15,300 for a family of 2. I have only $12700, and I just printed my spouse's account statement without any supporting letter.
What do I need to do please? I am worried.
