hi!

can i show my spouses's account balance as part of my proof of funds documents? i've been stupid enough to show the total (mine and my spouse's funds as available funds) while applying and now that i got ITA i'm confused if my spouse's bank statements can be shown as the total family fund.

kind people... please help!!

It depends on the case officer whether to accept your spouses' bank statement/letter as yours. Try and convert into an account jointly held by you. Then your name would appear on the bank statement.

my situation is actually a bit different:
my required amount is around CAD 10000 but i showed a lot more (using both of our accounts and funds). now in the meantime, my own funds have increased and is more than CAD 10000, so technically i DO NOT need to include my spouse's funds anymore. however, i believe i can change the amount post ITA, right?
