Proof of funds & CEC

So I received an ITA through CEC stream and did not realize that you did not have to provide proof of funds when applying through CEC, as I on my PR application it had the form to submit POF so I just proceeded with it, and apparently if you change your funds on the application to 0, this goes away.

So I still submitted my bank statements & POF etc. regardless.

Should I have not? Will this be a hindrance or issue or cause my application to be rejected?

No, you are fine. You just meet an additional criteria you don't have to meet, so that obviously won't have any negative consequences.

And just go check, might be an odd question, but would they take my proof of funds into consideration now for my application, since I uploaded them? Like for example if the officer saw something on my POFs that he was curious about, can he refuse/say I am ineligible for PR or do the POFs have no bearing on my application since I am in the CEC stream, regardless that I have uploaded them also? Like would they be even allowed to enquire about my POFs since I am in the CEC stream? As I am hoping not as the last thing I want to do is add more time to processing

Just as of course we all want to make it as easy for us to get our PR apps approved as possible.

In general, no. Even if the officer is not satisfied that the documents are sufficient, they can't decline your application because these documents are not mandatory for you.

However, it is a different story if you submitted documents that are obviously fraudulent or forged. That may land you in trouble.

Ah good to hear, makes sense, I am mostly worried it will add some time to my processing due to uploading many pages for POFs, but hopefully they just discard or quickly glance over them.

if you already have a job offer then you dont need to show pof as you already have an active income.

What if you leave your job after you submitted your application (CEC candidate)? Are you supposed to send proof of founds then?
