Hi,

We are a family of three, including my kid, and will be landing on Apr 18. Should we show proof of funds at the entry point on landing if invited through CEC. Planning to carry only 10,000 dollars. Kindly advice, as the COPR was mentioning Proof of fundsbto be shown for skilled immigrants landing from outside Canada, though in other articles or questions in the Canada immigration website,no fund requiremebt is specified for CEC.

The officer might ask you about your funds specially because you are landing with family. But that's not a basis on refusal, they just want to make sure you can get settled before you start working.

Happy landing,

Happy landing,
Thank you! I will carry about 10000 dollars. I hope this should be suffiecient to satisfy the officer as I was invited under CEC and did not mention any funds

I'd carry $8000 so I don't have to go through more checks and declarations than necessary, cause if you carry $10k or more you have to declare. That way I would tell only the immigration officers that actually need to know, if they need to know at all.

I have a friend of mine who recently was landing as a inland CEC applicant and she was asked to show either POF or the employment letter stating that she is currently employed. She was panicking because she was not expecting to be asked to show POF, so she did not prepare anything when she got there. CIC obviously stated that it is not required to show POF as CEC applicant but there are very rare case that POF is requested to show by an immigration officer while landing.... Just to share here.

She had the employment letter that she kept in her email... She got it through with it. Since that time, I am kinda hesitating to quit my job although I am applying under CEC and now I can not guarantee 100% what will happen to be asked when I am landing...
