I sent passports to embassy to issue visa recently. Now I am planning and researching on landing. I have a question regarding with POF. Can anyone advise me, please?

1. Should I prove/show the money that I declared as POF in my application?
2. I declared CAD 20,000. We are 3 members family (me, spouse and 2 yrs old my daughter). We want to carry with us about 10,000 USD and we want to receive another 5,000 Usd from my friend's brother who is in Canada for long time. The arrangement will be like, I will pay 5,000 USD to my friend in cash here and my friend's brother will transfer/pay cash as soon as I reach in Canada. Is this acceptable? Or immigration will ask any proof for this arrangement?
3. 2 adults and one child. Should we declare if we carry 10,000 USD?

Thanks in advanced.

You need to declare if you are a carrying more than 10,000 CAD in cash - with exchange rate just now, 10,000 USD is more than 10,000CAD.

They are likely to ask for proof of this as can't take your word that the money has been transferred. Since you declared 20,000, you would need to prove you have this.

Can't you carry travellers check? Usually travellers check have higher limit (in addition to cash limit). When you land here you can just deposit it to bank. It will also help you opening account.

Hello Guys,

I just received my CopR and I want to do landing near Ottawa borders , I live in ottawa, I received my PR under the FSWP , my question is related to the prof of funds, I work as an engineer in ottawa, but I defenitly dont have 12000 dollars now in my account.

I don't know how to do the landing , can anyone advise please.

I can take my T4 slips , or even my paystubs ???

What papers should I bring with me ??

I want to do flagpoling , would it affect me from getting a US visa in the future ???

Hi there,
In your case T4 will be enough as a proof of your funds. However, just in case, have your paystubs as well. This is Canada and Canadian officer could ask you both.
