Hello Friends,
This week I received VISA approval for studying in Canada. I have a question for the port of entry process. I had shown education loan from Bank Of India while applying for the VISA. Now for some pre-agreed conditions the bank will be cancelling the loan agreement and I will take a loan from a different bank between today and Aug 30th which is when I actually travel to CANADA. I think I do need to present proof of funds at port of entry but should the bank and documents be the same, will there be an issues if I have funds from a different bank at port of entry than what I sent for VISA approval.

I would appreciate any help on this topic.
Thanks
Kunal

They don't check the proof of funds. They only check Passport and visa sticker

You should be ready to show the following documents:

1. a valid passport or travel document
2. the letter of introduction from the visa office that you received when your study permit was approved (this letter contains your permit reference number and the CBSA officer needs this letter to issue your study permit)
3. a valid temporary resident visa (if required)
4. a copy of the letter of acceptance from the school at which you are permitted to study
5. proof that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay in Canada and
6. letters of reference or any other documents recommended by the visa office where you applied.

You should have proof of funds ready with you just in case. It won't matter if your bank loan letter has changed as long as you have enough funds you are fine.

On 26 January 2012 my brother entered to CA as student. He says the immigration officer just checked my passport nothing else.

Yeah they don't bother new students a lot at the POE. But one should have these formalities ready with him just in case they ask for it. These are requirements mentioned on CIC website. It doesn't mean they will check everyone of it but they can check if they want.

Hey guys,
My application has approved and I need to get a flight to CA,
if I choose to bring money in CASH in order to show financial proof, how much money should it be?
Is 10.000 CAD enough to convince the officer I have enough money to cover expenses?
