Proof of funds after landing

Guys,,,is forex card acceptable? i.e. if I keep my forex card balance statement with me? And I'm planning to take some cash as well. Thanks in advance.

I suggest you get a letter from your bank listing the accounts and funds in those accounts as well. Ensure it is on letterhead and signed by your bank manager.

Forex card and cash are acceptable as well. There is a cash declaration limit if $10,000.

Thanks. I'm planning to give a cheque to foreign exchange company. So I will take most latest bank statement after they withdraw money using my cheque and forex statement showing balance. And of course, I will have some cash. Will that be Okay? I was concerned coz forex card wasn't mentioned on CIC website.

To be honest providing as much documentation as possible is the best option. Get the letter from your bank though.

You can open a Canadian Bank account from your home country.

Google "Scotiabank StartRight program".
