Hello,

As I understand after the PPR , Canada gives us 2 years to complete the landing process. I plan to use these 2 years to find a suitable job for myself and only move to Canada when I have a job offer from a company. If I do get a job offer, do I need to show the proof of funds when I land in Canada while completing the landing process?

1 - 2 years to complete the landing process? What?
2 - You need to show POF.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but once you receive PPR, nobody cares about the proof of funds anymore... Proof of funds (if applicable) is needed in the stage before PPR.

Although not a common request they can still ask for POF when doing the landing process.

Isnt that the case? I heard from someone who got a PR recently that he has 2 years to move to Canada.

Usually you will have to land before your medicals expire OR before your passport expires whichever is earlier.

There are exceptions though but I wouldn't count on your receiving 2 years to land.

I just checked and on my medical exam it says the expiration date is Oct 2021. And my passport expires in 2021 as well. So, I have time until then?

Also, lets say I had to spend some money due to reasons beyond my control (medical expenses, travel expenses, etc) .. can I get a gift deed/sell my property to fulfill the POF requirements or do I have to show the exact same proof that I showed while submitting the application?

Medicals are valid for a year.

Yes, you can use other proof to show you have the funds.

You should at least do a soft landing within 1 year or receiving CoPR.
