Proof of funding during landing in Canada

Hi,

I see a lot of conflicting information about this (and also some old info) so I am trying to see what the best thing to do here is.

When landing for the first time in Canada under PR FSW, does the immigration office require proof of the funds that we were asked to show in the application (~ CAD 24000)?

If it does, what form of proof is acceptable here?

Yes, you do need to show proof of funds, and its recommended to have refreshed statements (or however you showed on your initial ITA submission) with you. Naturally, you might have a portion of funds with you at time of landing
