So one of the most important things at this stage of your process is that the funds have to be liquid now, cannot be invested in the business, as they have to be available to take with you to Canada.

As long as the FD can either be cashed any time, or the three months is BEFORE you would be travelling to Canada, that should be fine. Be sure to include bank statements for a few months, or receipts for items you sold to make the cash, to show you had the money before putting it into the FD. Otherwise, you leave it up to the VO's imagination to think the money might not be yours, you borrowed it and put it into an FD thinking you could avoid providing 6 months of bank statements. What wouldn't make sense to the VO is why NOW you suddenly put that money into an FD when asked to provide POF.
The fewer questions you leave for the VO to answer, the safer you are. Best way to avoid having to appear for an interview.

Hello Gacajais,

There shouldn't be any be any problem.I don't think you have to keep the money in your account for the 3-6months as some people claim.
By the Grace of God we submitted a bank statement with balance of less than 2weeks as at the time of submitting our application and VO didn't
request for another till we finally receive our visa. We're a family of 4.

I hope this help.
God bless you
BDPA
Hello BDPA, I know it has been a long time. I would like to know if you submitted the bank statement as well for any time period or just the bank certificate?
