I need some help regarding proof of funds. My average balance is 150CAD lower than the cut off (family of 4) and my current balance is around 330CAD higher than CAD. Would that gap be an issue or having the average balance below the cut off by that amount be an issue? I am a freelancer and all my payments are in form of foreign remittances. I have a few days left to submit so any help or past experience would be wonderful :)

Thank you in advance

Average balance is just for a guide. Your closing balance should be higher than the minimum threshold determined by the CIC. You should try keep it higher till you get your CoPR as CIC may ask for the fresh Bank Statements at anytime during the process.

Thank you so much, but normally what I read is that if there is a gap between the average and current balance than that can cause issues. Like in my case the gap is of around 480CAD but that is because I earned good in the past couple of months, hence the current balance being above the cut off.

Amount maintaining balance, yes I would certainly do that :) Thank you once again.

There is no such law that average and the current balance shall match. CIC only want to verify whether this is a genuine fund or is being borrowed to satisfy CIC requirement. If you have money in your account and you can prove it's your then it will be fine. If CIC have any doubt they will ask for clarification or may ask for a fresh bank statement.
