Hello,

I already got my acceptance letter from George Brown College, now I should work on my student visa...

The problem is: I don't know how to do this proof of financial support: as I've read there's a bank statement for past 4 months, or transfer the money and open a bank account.. I'm in Iraq now and there are limited services in Iraq, how to do this bank statement? or how to transfer the money? I have a friend in Canada.. Can I transfer the money to him and then he opens an account for me? or what?....

Please recommend as I am not very aware of these financial stuff

Thank you,

You may show your funds in Iraq bank account. No need to open account in Canada

Thanks..

You mean that I should open a bank account in Iraq in (canadian/american) dollar, and have a bank statement for 4 months? or just proof from them that I have this account that I'll use to fund myself?

Or I mean does the visa officer recognize any local bank? or only recognizes the bank that deals internationally?

Please people,,,

Just confirm that visa applicants had applied and their bank accounts are in their local currency, so I know if it's accepted or not
