Hello guys

In proof of financial support requirements they say that we can have a bank draft in convertible currency;

In such case what type draft, I mean to say , what name should be on the draft (is it the university)? how much money? and can I get it made from my bank account or from anyone ?

I would also take a student loan from a bank in such case what can I possibly do about the draft and how can I show it as a proof of financial support
I'd appreciate if anyone could please enlighten about this.

Thanks

Bank draft is like Cheque in your name with proportional currency.
for example you can made bank draft of CAD 15,000. After reaching Canada you can open bank account and can deposit money over there.

Is it a decent option to show as a proof of funds ?
Will it suffice over GIC because this seems easier than getting a GIC.

Can I just take money and get the draft made in a couple of days, or it needs to be 4 months old just like a bank statement ?

I have to apply for sept intake so I don't really have much time.

Thanks

Yes. You can make a draft within 1 days. In draft the money is in proportional CAD which you can only withdraw in Canada. It might be a good option.
