hi,

I am applying to extend my study permit and also will be applying for my first co-op permit at the same time.
For the proof of financial support, my dad will be financially supporting me so I will be writing the letter for him (since he doesnt know english), send it to my dad so he can sign it, and tell him to send me the letter back with his bank statements and copy of government ID (to prove he is my dad and show statements are in his name).
Would that be enough to prove CIC i have the funds?

I also have a canadian bank account but it doesnt have over $10 000, should i include that or not? Thanks for the help.

You can write the letter on your dad's behalf, he doesn't have to know English. He can sign and notarize it before sending it back.

Any proof to link your father with the bank account statement is sufficient.
