Proof of financial support from the US? Please help!

Hello,

Is anyone applying from within the states? What documents should I provide for proof of financial support? I bank with Discover and the only thing they can provide is a transaction history of 3 months and the current balance, not 6 months of transaction. Those can only be downloaded from the online banking website but I am not sure if those are considered as "official from the bank".

Side note, couple of my friends in Canada used Bank Portfolio/ Product Summary for this step as the letters had the bank's stamp on it. Do any of you know how to get it in the US? I called Discover and Chase and seems like they dont have things like this. Can I use the monthly online statements for this step?? Thanks!!!!!1

Could they write you a letter to verify your last 6 month balance average? Make sure it's on the bank's official letterhead and includes all your accounts with them. I did that with Bank of America, but also included 6 months of bank statements as well as my last few credit card statements.
