HI Everyone!
I'm wondering if someone could help me. My husband and I are South Africans trying to put our documents together for the new caps (2014) that were opened in May. I know that one of the very important things one needs to submit is proof of ability to speak English. I know that there is the IELTS tests that one can take but on the forms (applications guide) it says that you can also submit:
"Proof of completion of secondary or post-secondary school education in French or English."
-A diploma or transcript from a secondary or post- secondary school indicating the successful completion of a program, in Canada or abroad. or
-A diploma or certificate from a secondary or post-secondary school indicating successful graduation, in Canada or abroad.
The reason I am asking is because the next available IELTS test is in August and we would like to submit our documents within the next 2 weeks. My husband and I both have a Matric certificate (High school certificate) that shows our completion in English as a first language. Would this fall into the category of "Proof of completion of secondary or post- secondary."?
He also has his Hons Degree in Accounting science (University of Johannesburg - English University) and his CA(SA). Although these do not indicate that he is English.
Anyway if anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated!
