.Canada revenue Agency (CRA) complete notice of assessment- is this the one that we received after we file our income tax every end of the year from revenue?
.CRA t4 statement of remuneration paid-I have this t4 from my employment from 2008 to 2012..
.CRA t5 return of investment- is RRSP part of this?
.bank/credit card statement- most of my statements are gone away already what should I do? do I still have to attach this kind of documents?what if not..? what's gonna happen? any idea....

In my situation it say's the documents you must provide should cover the 4 year period immediately, specifically from 2008 sept 01 to 2012 sept 01.
Do i really have to give all this documents? which document I should attach before sending it to them the original or the photocopies of all my documents?

1. Notice of assessments are what you receive after filling your taxes. It clearly states NOTICE OF ASSESSMENTS on them.
2. Yes submit your T4S
3. Yes T5 are for investments including RRSP.
4. Yes you should submit all your bank statements, credit card statements and they NEVER GO AWAY. You can retrieve all of them from your bank. There will be a charge per statement.
5.Yes these documents should be provided for the entire period.
6. All the documents are photocopies only. You keep the originals.
If you will not produce all the supporting documents/evidence then of course you have a weak application and if you are unable to prove your presence your application will be refused. You also need to provide alot of other documents too such as pay stubs, utility bills, CBSA traveler history, PCH from health Canada, leases/mortgage statements etc etc.

6.PCH from health Canada,
PCH (personal Claim History) is an Ontario document, not Health Canada. I don't mean to nitpick, but I think it's important to try to be as accurate as possible.

if your holding 3 credit cards, should I give 3 different statements? or 1 is ok.
It is your choice. Credit cards are considered "passive indicators" of residence, so your fate may not hinge on them, but personally I suggest providing everything they list that you can and not trying to guess their reasoning.

Credit cards and bank statements are requested as "proof of employment" if they "apply to your situation", but page 18 of the Citizenship Policy Operational Manual 5 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/cp/cp05-eng.pdf says "Documents that can provide more information on residence [include] Banking records: Statements of transactions showing activity in Canada; credit card bills in the sole name of the applicant showing regular purchases in Canada; cancelled cheques showing regular payments or purchases in Canada. A letter from a bank showing that the applicant has an account does not necessarily establish residence in Canada. Regular payments do not necessarily indicate residence in Canada, e.g., post-dated cheques, standing payment orders to bank, internet banking."

This quote suggest that while banking records are not foolproof indicators of residence, they may be employed to indicate presence (i.e. regular purchases) rather than simply employment.

Well since you paid cash you don't really have any proof of being there unless you have any utility bills, notice of assessment, etc etc on that address...however you can request your landlord to help you out with it

Hope that your landlord gives you a letter...many landlords who get paid in cash with no receipts and employers who pay cash with no pay stubs are reluctant to provide any written confirmation of the transaction...after all why bring this 'business' to the attention of CRA? Is your employer a well know Canadian employer that can submit letters confirming your duties, place/location of work and hours you work?

Thats the reason cash transaction should always be avoided at all times eventually they can come back to bite you in the ***.

The letter will be given more weight if you get him/her to visit a commissioner of oaths or notary to swear to its validity. Depending on your relationship with your landlord, this may seem like a lot to ask though, so you will have to use your own judgement as to how necessary it is to your RQ response.

Do your bank statements show monthly ATM cash withdrawals corresponding to the rent amount? This may be helpful in concert with the letter. Do you have a lease?

One good thing is that your landlord is still around. I found out that my landlord from 2003-2007 passed away years ago, so no letters for me to back up the lease.

We can only do what we can do.

Just a heads up... you will not receive a T5 if interest made on your investments is less than $50 in the tax year.
