Proof of continuing relation- Using Skype n MSN

Hi we talk and chat through SKYPE and MSN (video calls). How should we save this communication and how to present it to CHC as a proof of continuing relation. Please advice

The phone service (Telcan) that we are using to talk from canada to India has increased their prices so we have cancelled it. Please advise if you know about a cheap phone service to call India from Canada.

Check your call history, the times are logged.
Also use the Skype chat facility when calling, that is saved forever by default.

We didnt submit any of this. We use Skype and MSN faithfully. It is best to have it - don't get me wrong, if you have strong proof in other items a good solid explanation works as well. We went into a lot of detail to describe how we keep in touch, what time of the day and holw long we usually talked, how we picked one night of the week where we watched movies togeter online... it's good to know about the call logs with skype. I had no idea. But just to let you know, you arent screwed without it!

As for how to present, We literaly had thousands of pages of msn... I picked out 3 random days (one from early, middle and close to application date and printed, offering to submit more or all on request)

I really advise you to get a phone service where the bill lists the calls you made - even if this is not the cheapest option. CIC visa officers just don't care about calling cards or explanations about why you don't have proof. Some people get their visa without this evidence, but some situations are 'easier' than others - white versus black applicant, long history together or not, a lot of time spent together or not, etc. To be safe, make sure you can prove your SKYPE and MSN and phone contact.

one poster suggested to me to take screenshots (using the Print Screen key) of when you are having voice chats (i have a snipping tool on vista i use that does the same thing). then you can print a few of these out. i chat and web cam on MSN and it has the date/time listed and our chat log and you can see both of us. i thought it was a great idea and one i had clearly overlooked. hope its helpful to you also

HEllo everyone.. I just want to share what we have done on our case. Well like you do, we also use SKYPE in terms of communications. But as what others have said, it is so hard to prove because there is no tangible proof of communication in using skype. So what I did I subscribe to SUN cellular. They offer cheap international call rates to canada.. Around 4 pesos for minute.. so I can call him from time to time and this is refleceted to the billing statement and this is what we have submitted. But I also included to the sponsorship questionnaire that we are using mostly "SKYPE" for the conviences in gives us. Thankfully our sponsorship application was approved and it is on process for my PR here in manila. Hope this helps.

Hey Kaps,

the cheapest phone service that I know off and personally have used in canada is Call Select. They have good rates and try getting the 3.95/month package as that has cheapest call rate to india, I think 2.9 cents/min. www.callselect.ca is their website. I had no problems using it. You can simply get that service added to your cell phone or landline. And call the desired number from your area and then punch in the international number. And they also have online billing and all and you can also print out ech statements. That what I did in my case and handed those in with the application initially.

I am saving the screen shots of the SKYPE video calls everyday (if required in future) which shows our faces and the call history with call durations and dates. I hope IO's don't have any issues with these call records of SKYPE. Any comments or anyone who faced any issues with SKYPE Calls screenshots???

Please suggest an economical phone service which provides unlimited calls from Canada (landline) to India (cell phone).

GOD please let all the spouses get the PR visa soon so that lovers can reunite with their loved ones.
