Proof of contact certified translations

Based on the new checklist that was updated Feb 2019, they now require certified translations of proof of contact such as emails, text messages and social media conversations. Any one translate them one their own and will application be returned if they are not certified translations?

Most probably. But nothing is 100% with IRCC. since its a new requirement you might get lucky.

Unless stated in your checklist, you must attach the following for any documents that are not in English or French:

• a certified copy of the original document; and
• the English or French translation; and
• an affidavit from the person who completed the translation.

So no you cant do it yourself

In the old checklist it said:
Proof of Contact: Provide letters, printed text messages, emails or social media conversations, or other documented proof of
contact between you and your sponsor. Provide a maximum of 10 pages with your application.Translations of these
documents are not required at this time. If we need translations, we will request them from you.

This is the one i used when i sent documents. I did not translate as it said it is not needed

Do u think there could be problem?

If you used an old checklist by mistake it will most probably will be a problem. Was it the current checklist at the time you submitted your app?
Its a new requirement in the Feb 2019 checklist

I used the old one when it was the only one available. It was current one at that time. I am sure it was not old

If they issued the new checklist AFTER you submitted the app then youre fine.
