How did you guys include this proof? I have phone bills showing all calls made in a given month. Would you just highlight calls between myself and my spouse? Did you write anything else on the phone bills?

Also, I have like 10 pages per month for calls, would you guys include them all? Or would you simply select 1 page per month, since including all pages would amount to hundreds of pages.

We were lucky as my phone company, Vonnage, keeps a record of all my calls incoming and dialed out which I can search through on their website. I was able to print out the results showing date, time and length of our calls to or phone my home phone for the past 6 years. It was a lot of pages, but it also made it beyond clear how much we talk to each other :)

anyone have an answer to my question?

thanks!

I included the first page of each month's phone bill, with calls between myself and my spouse hilighted.

Ok so just 1 page each month. That's what I'm thinking and maybe just include an explanation.

One page a month, with the relevant calls highlighted, over the whole length of your relationship should be OK. Include the explanation that this is just a sample, and that if they want to see all the pages, you will send them.

Or you can send samples. Our relationship is a 6 year period, so obviously sending bills for every month is nearly impossible as I did not have all the bills spanning that far back. I sent 4 sets of bills for every year since 2006 and tried to space them in 3 month periods where possible, that kept the amount of paperwork down. You are trying to tell a story not an information dump as information dumps are likely to only be browsed and not studied therefore missing what maybe critical points! :D

The calling card company I use issues monthly statements with numbers called and the duration of each call. Since each statement is one or two pages, I submitted complete statements.

Yes, I did too, because my husband is the only person I call long-distance, so every month's bill was only one page with all calls to him. It added up to about 80 pages, but the visa officer can just skim them. In fact I know she did - at the interview my husband said she asked about phone calls, he handed her the 15 pages of phone bills received after the application was sent in, and she just leafed through them quickly, laughed and said "fine". She was definitely satisfied with our proof of communication.
But if you have calls to many numbers on the bill and each bill is several pages long, I'd send a sample with the relevant calls highlighted.

Excellent. Just the kind of answers I was looking for. Love this forum. Thanks!

I applied a seperate cell phone number just use to call my wife. This way all outgoing & incoming are listed there.
