Proof of co-habitation - Question

Hmm thanks, I will try to get more things jointly named.
I tried with the bills before but they said short of changing them over completely to the other person, there was not a way to add their name (only as a user who can also call in for help etc, but that doesn't show up on bills). Since he will have to go back to the UK when his current one year visa ends it didn't seem like we should have those things in his name only. Will look more into the joint account, otherwise we don't have wills or insurance (even work insurance) and I don't want a bunch of things to just pop up as created in April 2015 right before the app is sent off because I feel like that looks shifty!

As I said, many joint accounts won't have a date on it that it was opened, it will simply show CIC that you have a joint account with the same address. They won't know in many cases when you actually opened it up.
Considering the burden of proof required to prove cohabitation, you should really be doing all you possibly can here.
