Proof of Citizenship, confusion over grandparent question

In part 8B it asks info about the applicant's grandparents (my parents, since I am applying for my minor child)

Both questions start off with "If the applicant's parent was born outside of Canada, was one of their parents a Canadian citizen at the time of their birth" (I wasn't born outside of Canada but my parents (the applicant's grandparents) were Canadian citizens when I was born.)

If no, then you don't fill out anything underneath. If yes, then you fill out the grandparent info.

HOWEVER...the checkboxes allow for only a YES or NO....not a "not applicable" since the applicant's parent (myself) was born IN Canada . (It would have been easier if there was a box stating "NA") The way the form is set up, it makes it seem like I can't leave that entire page blank including the check boxes....or can I ??

If I check yes, then it's not true because I was born in Canada.
If I check no, then it's not true because I was born in Canada.

I hope I made my question clear and not confusing sounding!

Simply write "N/A" with a pen next to questions that are not applicable. That will let IRCC know that you didn't just skip them.

If the child's other parent was not born in Canada, then you would answer "yes" or "no" as applicable.

Thanks for your advice, I'll write N/A next to the check box part at the top, and then N/A in all the boxes underneath for both sets of grandparent info :)
