Does any one have email address for the office in Nova Scotia? I applied for my son's proof of citizenship in January and I have received no notification, file number or request for information since. I want answers at this point. The Ottawa office made similar mistakes with my PR application and I'd like to keep them accountable. TIA

Yeah, that's all the info I have. But I haven't even received my acknowledgement letter yet ( five months later). So it looks like I'll have five months after that to wait. Just like my PR . Makes me so mad.

Did you send the mail to CPC Sydney by registered mail/tracking mail?
If yes, did it deliver? I hope so.
If you have delivery confirmation, at least you know that your application has reached CIC but might be sitting somewhere in their office waiting to be processed.

Did you contact the call centre to see if they have any information?

I have the tracking number so I know they received it but I haven't called the call center as I never even received an acknowledgement letter so I wouldn't have any identifying information to give them so I didn't think they'd be able to help me at all. They were less than helpful when I called for mine and most people say the same thing. But at this point I think I'll have to. Nearly 6 months and no word is ridiculous.

You can provide them with the tracking# and i suppose you need to provide them some part of the application details to them so that they can check their system.
Also, you can tell them that it has been more than 5 months since you have submitted the application, so that they can immediately look into their system for information.
You told me that similar thing happened with your PR application, what exactly happened, if you don't mind me asking?

Literally the same thing. I sent it and they signed for it a few days later, outland. Four months go by with no word (March-July). I called the call center and they couldn't help as Ottawa for immigration is outside of Canada. I called hubby's MP, they called them to look into it and then the next day we had sponsor approval for the application I sent four months ago, which was not found in the system at all the day before. The timeline was 28 days. I think I got unlucky again. I guess I'll have to bark up some trees again and this time I won't be so nice. People are screwing up and I'm ( and my son) are paying for it with not so much as an apology or explanation.
