Proof of a conjugal relationship?

Hello all,

My boyfriend and I plan to apply the partner visa on next January. He is currently living in South Korea and I am living in Canada as a PR. We had been lived together over 1 yr; however there were some long time apart in that period. (Not the continuous living) Therefore, we are not in the condition of the common law partner visa. Our status may be the conjugal relationship. But, I am not sure how I can prove it. We could not get married because we had not finished the university yet. He will graduate in this year and he will try to move in Canada. Are there any methods that we can prove it?

Why was not having finished university a barrier to getting married?

If you lived together for that long, you could have established common law status, and it sounds like there's no immigration or legal reason you can't get married. So as said above, a Conjugal application is guaranteed to be refused. As you're currently in different countries, it would take a year to establish CL from whenever you move in together, so if you want to do this soon you will have to get married.

Hi, the only reason a conjugal relationship may succeed is if you can prove an immigration and legal barrier. As it does not seem like you have any barriers at all, a conjugal application in your case will most likely be rejected.

I'd recommend you to live together for a continuous year before attempting to apply.
how to live together for a year when ur still a permanent resident? should they live in canada or in another country is okay?

You can live together anywhere in the world to qualify for common-law.
Or you can get married anywhere in the world.

There are no legal/immigration barriers to you getting married or becoming common-law, so you do not qualify as conjugal. Do not even consider a conjugal application it it is guaranteed to be rejected if you try.
