I am separated from my wife for 2 years. She just left me and I have no means of knowing where she is. Now, I intend to sponsor my girlfriend under the common law class as we have been cohabiting for more than a year. So, I need to produce evidence that my marriage is broken down. What kind of documents I can submit as evidence of my marriage break down? I have filed for divorce and again I couldn't reach out to her to get a separation agreement done as I have no idea where she is. I have with me my petition for divorce that was submitted in the court and the flight ticket showing her date of departure from Canada to Pakistan (she never returned to Canada, pretty sure with that) - so, will CIC look at this and confirm that we did not live together since the time she left? Just want to know what other documents will strengthen the evidence for a marriage break down in my case? Not knowing where she is, it is difficult for me to get any separation agreement as it would need her signature as well. Please help.

Has it been 3 years since your ex-wife gained PR in Canada?

I understand that I cannot sponsor my partner until the 3 years time elapses. Yes, it has been more than 3 years since my ex got her PR.
What about the proof I need to produce?
